Hard Yards
I can now classify the weekend as 'good'.
I was reasonably happy with my set last night. But the real winner was a long time mate telling me my mixing was the tightest he has heard from me in a while. I even used CDJs for the first time in many years again which was great for introducing some music to my set that I normally can not play. I have a lot of work to do but having access at the moment to a reasonably nice setup has definately improved my mixing. 'Joy'.
My sunday was a)cricket b)the local watering hole c)gardening.
All of which were grouse. Yes... Grouse..
Great game of cricket this evening. My main observation for the evening has been Symonds bowling. For me it just looks like back yard cricket bowling. Although unlike the back yard he has constant variation with a reasonably high level of consistancy. But it all seems to come together for him even if he looks like some 15 year old just hurling the ball around. Few pearler catches on the wicket from him too. Boucher ducking for cover was hilarious and a brilliant catch to boot.
RSA really left the big hits far too late. They stoud a chance but failed to really try go for the big numbers opting to play safe far too often.
So again back to it tommorrow. Refurbs are on the way and we are still very busy at work. It will be interesting. I'm working the next two Saturday mornings which means quieter weekends. Probably a good thing. More news when it comes to hand.
