Friends.

I had an interesting chat with a friend last night.

I swear relationships are designed to drive people nuts. So many people I know that know what they want and they just can't have it. It is a sad truth. I really wish there was more I could do for them. The truth hurts sometimes, but given the year I had I just don't believe in 'beating round the bush' anymore. It is a royal waste of everyones time. It can be hard to choose between all or nothing, but sometimes you have to make that jump. Some people are blessed with option of having that 'inbetween' level of friendship, but that too can end in disaster. There is no safe ground. You just have to go for it sometimes.

Morning Music Adventure

I have a headache that again, could flatten a small continent. This however could have a lot to do with the fact I haven't had enough sleep and I also forgot my pain killers. But onto my 'I'm working saturday morning watching video clips' rant eh?

So to start with we have the utter horror of 'Crazy Frog'. Now don't get me wrong. I WANT to be that bank account. But there is now way in hell you're ever going to catch me calling that absolute SHITE music. It really is horrific in so many different ways. Straight off the bat I'm worried about how much blood is congealing in my ears. Not a good start to the morning.

Jessica Simpson - My Boots Are Made For Walkin'

Quite simply, there is only one thing young Jessica should be doing. I'll let you know right now that she'd be far better off giving me a than forcing me to listen to her 'sing'. She is reasonably easy on the old eyes, but it really doesn't go much further than that.

Ashley Simpson - The Beat of My Heart

Well.. Now that we know 90% of the lyrics already we really are pretty much done here.

Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us

Am I really sitting here listening to this shit? I must be still asleep. This really is about as entertaining as opening your own head.. Hold on... THAT SUCKS. Nothing to see or hear here folks.

50 Cent - Window Shopper

So let me get this straight right.. People can relate to this? People in Australia? To clarify.. If you don't already know I'm a pimped out African American whom drives a Hummer and writes songs about living in the Ghetto and not being able to afford various over priced items. But I'm rich. Good. Glad we clarified that. Was very nearly confused for a moment there.

I'm trying not to laugh as I write this..

Shannon Noll.. BWAHAHAHAHA

I didn't even catch the name of the song. Not that it really matters. This is a far better attempt than his last 'big' single. But mate. You need to get over the whingey whiney rock. If I want to feel emotion, this song won't make me feel a thing. Ramming my head into a galvanized steel fence... THAT IS EMOTION. Your manager should be shot. So should your 'stylist' for that matter.

Someone - Listen to Your Heart

Right, the TV is so blurred I can't read who did this. Didn't I watch the Cover special the other week? I'm confused. So we have a 'dance' (and I use that term rather loosely) remix of an older track yet again. There is absolutely nothing special to hear here folks. This is a bread and butter commercial dance remix using the chord progression in that unrelenting annoying fashion every dance remix does. Well done guys. Hope it works out for you.

Kate DeAurgo - Maybe Tonight?

I'm almost positive this is another cover by a reasonably new artist. She might even be Australian. This however is not enough to convince me that I should or would ever buy her album. Ever. Infact... This is a cover. And nothing to write home about. Why can't these people put some of their own expression into these songs and not just regurgitate it. Here is a quick recipe for you.
1.Add one soppy heart throb song.
2.Regurgitate above mentioned song.
3.Do cheap video clip of you leaning against a wall wailing your heart out.
4.Profit!

The Veronicas - Everything I'm Not

HOLY SHIT BATMAN - Is this something actually resembling music? By no means is it my cup of tea, but this is the closest thing I've come to I could call music in the past hour. Not an encouraging thought really.

Black Eyed Peas - My Humps

If anyone has been forced to also endure this song. I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I hope we both don't end up scared for life from enduring this.... words can't describe.

Madonna - Hung Up

Did I write about this last week? Cheesy disco. Madonna flashing her bits. Nuf said.

Sugababes - Push The Button

I've heard this 'song' a few times on the radio. First time watcher? Or am I lying? I'm not exactly sure wether I absolutely detest it or not. I'm definately horrified in some ways and strangely drawn to it.. Weird. Girls in short shorts is a good thing. I wish the TV here was not so blurry.

I'm out of steam.

Fairly Land

Well what an interesting week.

I've had my boss and my designated GP blow up at me. I could whinge for hours.

Finally back at work today, with the aid of a fair chunk of pain killers. However I did manage to actually survive the day with their aid. Unlike the rest of the week.

I have had people say things that have actualy touched me, much appreciated in that direction.

More later.

Hospital - The Joy

Sent myself into Casualty today. Head absolutely cranking. As it turns out, I had quite obvious different levels of sensation on my face between left and right sides. This was also true for sight and hearing. It also became apparent I've gotta send my self to the Optometrist again apparently. Huzzah for that. I can't wait to have glasses! Anyway, I get to go back to the hospital tomorrow if my head still hurts for CT scans. More Hurrah! So there we go. Certainly not as ammusing as I first thought and sure as hell quite a bit more worrying. Go 2006!

Beyond that.. I don't know. Heres to crossing some fingers hey!

How to Open Your Own Head

First one liberal dose of flooding.

So as you can see.. Fair bit of rain. As a result my neighbours (well the flat in the backyard) was flooding. In an attempt to open a fence which was blocked with debris stopping any water actually running down to a lower level I managed to do this.

Now I look like this...

So yeah.. I'm awesome. I also now have a headache that could flatten a small continent.
