My mate Ryan is selling his car.

E-Bay

Help him go overseas by buying it. Help me by buying so I get it out of my backyard!! (Ryan, it is OK!).

I thawt I saw a puddy tat.

I only went to go to sleep 25-30 mins ago. Its 25 to 2am in the morning. I know it is late.

Now to explain myself briefly, I have suffered from sleep paralysis before. I fucking hate it. I get it when I'm stressed. To be clear, at this point in time.

I am not stressed.

I felt myself heading towards the inevitable tho not long ago. When it starts there is _nothing_ I can do. All of a sudden tho, it just went. Not a frequent occcurance. Infact I think this is a first. I can sometimes escape it, but it never just 'stops'.

Next thing I know, I'm obviously in the middle of what is well.. I can only describe as an hallucination. I don't have full movement, however it feels like I'm just dozing with enough energy for small movements. Normally when I suffer sleep paralysis I can see however my body is totally locked. It usually is quite terrifying.

I felt and heard something small jump up on my bed. It was/felt like a small four legged animal 1-2kg. I felt it sit down on top of my feet. I wiggled. It got up. Walked down my back and proceeded to give the back of my neck a sniff/lick. Wiggle again and it relocates back down my back to rest on my feet again. By this time, I'm convinced theres a small cat in my room. I give a small kick with my feet, I hear a small 'meow' and I hear it jump onto the floor.

Minutes? Later I get up, turn the light on and look. Theres nothing. Of course theres nothing. But for me to go into the begining stages of sleep paralysis, then hallucinate and then wake again all within 35 minutes is something all together new for me.

Not sure what to make of it.

Maybe I'm telling me I need more company at home and need a cat?? (I am a cat person and have been without a cat around for many years).

Food for thought. Back to bed.

I love Cricket.

Don't tell me Roy (Symonds) doesn't have the luck of the Irish on his side. Dropped catches haunted him. Martyn was also brilliant. Brilliant effort from the lads in the 20-20 game this evening. Great evening viewing.

I was also really impressed by the in-game conversations with Smith. Technology being put to some interesting use. I do fear however that commentators may end up getting in the shite by over using or distracting a player. How ever a 20-20 game is a brilliant test bed as the game it self despite being very fast moving is also quite 'fun'. Which was made evident by both Smith and all the players.

Who said 20-20 wouldn't be popular. 38,000 at the Gaba. Why wasn't I there!

Don't Stop. Wiggle Wiggle & Digital Evidence #2

So begins another week. This summer is certainly quite busy at work with a few big challenges coming in the next few weeks. We are staring down the barrel of a refurb for our showroom and we will continue trading during this period. When I say refurb, they are knocking the entire thing down and starting again. It is going to be very interesting to say the least. It will be great once we are done, but I am not looking forward to the period during. Looks like I get to cable up the tea room in the back of the warehouse as a semi-office for the cross over period.

For this reason.. I've planned when to take my holiday. Come end of April I'll be shooting north for 10 odd days. Can't wait.

So there it is.. For entertainment, here is some more Digital Evidence.

Here are a couple pics from NYE - taken at the Rock Climbing centre event.

Spent a little time this evening working on my home audio setup. I've ended up with a tower.. I really need to get myself a decent entertainment unit. And no, thats not what is there now..

In other exciting news, I did this late last week.

FYI.. I did actually finish the job!

Surrounded

After loosing one couch and then aquiring another it was time to re-arrange the lounge room marginally.

The specific reason was so I could better align my 5.1 setup. Instant improvement.

I no longer have my surrounds at unequal distances from 'The Seat'. I need to re-arrange the TV/Amp location as they are still somewhat off centre, however my biggest problem resides in the fact that because my centre speaker is not shielded I can't stick it under/above the television. This is a sad side effect of having built it myself as one of numerous little projects I have carried out over the years. Instead it sits to the side of the TV which totally ruins the centre effect and forces my staging horribly to the left of the TV.

I have a couple of options. As the centre itself doesn't actually sound tooo bad, but does lack volume up high due to natural roll off of the drivers I have used. I can either rebuild speaker with some magetically shielded drivers and add a tweeter. Or spend probably as much money and just buy a nice one.

The latter really is the more appealing option however I really do enjoy building speakers. I just don't have the skill to get the actual finish of the enclosure looking damn good. All I can muster is 'alright'.

I will ponder my dilemma.

Obfustification

Could my mobile phone bill be any more complicated?

I rarely actually pay much attention to them. The only thing that did draw my attention initially was that my charge was only $37. Eh? Further investigation reveals I paid my normal monthly amount twice last month. But why do I still owe them? Where has this $37 odd dollars come from?

I recently aquired myself a new handset. You would like to think that it shouldn't be particularly difficult to keep one self on the same plan rada rada. It never has been an issue before.

I also received a credit for doing some survey last month.
It clearly states 'Mobile Survey Credit $4.55'.
What amazes me, is that I was actually charged this amount, not credited.
How hard can it be?
My call charges don't align with my total credit amount either. (I am on a capped plan).

I rang Optus whom reasonably swiftly had me talking to a real person, even if i did have to go backwards through a few menus to find an option 'Speak to a real live human being'.

The lady figuring I was just going to whinge about my phone bill and how complicated it was started on the standard drill of going through all my charges etc.. Upon coming across the $36 charge which for reasons totally unknown to me, was credited from the last bill and then re-charged and included an advance charge aswell for next month... Pardon? Quickly it became evident that I did indeed need my phone bill explained to me. It was also immediately evident to her that she was unable to do so. Because it didn't make any bloody sense. I'm left on hold for 10 minutes while she goes off to clarify wtf is going on.

Apparently the sales people managed to reconnect me to my current plan WITH 'push to talk' aswell. This incurred me an additional $36 odd dollars for a service my phone can't even do and one that I did not ask for.

So we agree that I did not ask for said Push to Talk additional payment plan thingy and that's being erradicated and credited. So two credits there plus a change of plan.

Onto Mobile Survey Credit.. When the customer service rep you are speaking to thinks its funny I've been charged on what is obviously meant to be a credit you could only assume its not exactly the first time shes seen such an occurance. No problem there, that'll be credited too. Goodo.

I'm then told basically not to worry about the difference between call charges and the credit against that. Apparently it all miraculously works it self out by the end of the bill. I dare not ask for further clarification.

She goes on to explain that my next bill should make much more sense and be less complicated and it'll all be good. I know it won't be. Because I'm about to receive another bill with a whole host of credits and what have you that I need to check have been applied properly and make sure I'm not still being stiffed (again). I know I'm going to have to ring and have it all explained. I can barely make heads nor tails of this bill how much luck do you think I'm going to have with the next one?

I can't wait.
